ftaFinally ..
Thank God for the tech !

Menurutku posthardcore cendrung bermain downstroke trus ditambah vocal scream.

Kawan  NTR memang dulu pernah bergabung sebentar diawal karir kita, tapi dari perubahan personel, kita coba memperbaiki diri sekaligus mengembangkan konsep bermusik FTA

Influence kalian siapa aja sih ?

Influence kita masing2 personel beda beda.  Kita lebih ke Saosin,  Scared n Whisper, Attack attack, Of  Mice and Men dan Sleeping with Sirens

Bicara musik pop, jadi teringat sebuah proyek dari beberapa grup metal membuat album Tribute To Britney Spears. Kenapa nggak sekalian aja kalian bikin cover lagu pop dan dibawakan dengan cara FTA.

Haha, rencananya kita mo cover lagu lagu hip hop/RnB tapi masih nunggu proses recording lagu baru kita dulu  yang judulnya Takkan Pernah Bersama

Ok..thanx ya. keep up good works !

DEFIANT was originally formed 2005 in Pozega, Croatia, by Beretz(guitars, vox) & Kris(guitars). With much musical experience from the past they began writing material with lots of melodies, harmonies and dark lyrics. The main idea from the beginning was to play melodic death metal with Swedish influences. When Bole(bass) and File(drums)joined the band, line-up was finished. Defiant have developed their own and more commercial form of Death metal with groovy rhythms, melodic riffs, well played guitar solos and an aggressive vocal in focus. After lot of concerts and festivals, played with high-energy performance, the band made their debut album”The End of Beginning”in the autumn 2006

1. Would you like to tell us about croatian death metal / underground music scene ?
There is a scene with too many bands, but only 5-6 bands are make the scene, because there is no interest in metal like in other european countries…
2. 2006 to 2010, why it takes a long time to build a new album ?
Well,we have a Promo in 2008,so it’s not a very long time to keep busy our fans to wait our second album in 2010.And there was some changes in the band, because we need very good drummer on this new album so we cancel many gigs this year
so we can go in Studio to record some new songs  in a way that should be….metal.

3. Working on a new recording, could you tell us just little bit about new material ?
There will be some real old school melodies with some new sound of death metal.
4.Defiant call their self, “Croatian metal with swedish style”, tell us your favourite musician.
Of course,But some old stuff like,At The Gates,In Flames,Dismember,Dark Tranquillity….
5. For selling point, and popularity or some other reason, some of musician or band covering the other band song. What do you think about that ?
Well, they cover for some own reason,if they think that ’s OK i don’t have to say anything:D
6. If you could tour with one band, past or present, who would it be and why?
I think that could be Metallica or Slayer, because they are the names for themselves today…
7. City to city or world tour. Which one from your live performance you experienced that means much to the band.
World tour is the best, but it’s great to travel city to city of course…:D
8. Any pre-show rituals?
Drink some beers…a lot of beers…and smoke some weed…
9. What’s your opinion abut the music charts now, with the amount of manufactured boy/girl bands that seem to dominate it?
i don’t track this shit …
10. From the beginning until now, what made Defiant still focus on this genre. How does the music make you feel when you’re producing, performing, or listening to it?
It was hard work but we still could produce a nice death metal sound with a nice melodies…we give a high hope to this feelings:D
11.Your message to the metal fans ?
Keep it metal,it’s all you’ve got at the end….

We’ve done this interview a long time ago :D , but we think it’s the time to waking up the scene again. Unsharpen Dawn a Germany Metal band. Just like Caliban, Fear my thoughts, Heaven Shall Burn and Machine Head. Metal to hardcore explosive mix. Founded in the winter of 2007 and after several changes in line-up, “Unsharpen Dawn“ are ready to unhinge the metal world with the following members:

Kay Drzewiecki – Main Vocals
Michael Burger – Guitar, Backings
Christian Tauscher – Guitar
Phil Diem – Drums

And this is the Interview.

1. Unsharpen Dawn, why you choose this name ? It means something ?
Kay: We were looking for a project name, first we called ourselves
“Unsharpen Death”, “Unsharpen” as a word for “unpolished”, as we
wanted to play death metal in the beginning. Someday “Death” sounded
to mundane and we chose “Dawn”. The name stands for: “How far you may
have come in life – each dawn brings new challenges, you are never
really prepared and will always be surprised. You are an unpolished
diamond until the end of your life”.

2. Please give us just a little history about your band member.

Kay: One day I woke up and wanted to found a band. No style of music
preassigned, I just wanted to make music. I met Rene Khoder in a club
and he asked me if i was looking for a band – and that was it! We
exchanged phone numbers, met regulary and wrote a few songs of whom
only “Wake Up To Die” is still played today. Of course we needed more
musicians and we met Michael who was instantly thrilled and shortly
after that Karl. The hardest part was finding a drummer, but in the
end Phil found us. Sadly Rene left the band later on to fully attend
himself to his other band “Beat The Pretty Lake”. But finding a new
guitar player was not as hard, we were lucky to win Chris, the guitar
player of “Alternate Taste” over. He is with us to this day and we are
more than happy with him.

Chris: Well, one could say. I had placed an ad in multiple portals for
musicians, looking for a melodic-deathmetal band. The guys dropped me
a mail, sent me their songs, I auditioned and was part of the band!
Its not Melo-Death, but well, I can handle that (grins). Not as true
but a proof that placing and reading ad’s is worth the while.

3. From 2006 to 2009, why it takes so long to release the EP ?

Kay: On the one hand we weren’t complete until fall 2007, on the other
hand it took awhile for us to warm up and grow together and awhile
until we were satisfied with our material. An EP should represent the
band, so we take our time to gather the best material possible.

4. Inspired by many bands. Which one that influenced you most ?

Kay: Every member of the band has his personal influences. Partially
these are very different from each other. So alot of bands and styles
of music influence us. Too much to be listed here and in the end we
simply do “our thing”.

Chris: In the end we all like the same style of music: it has to rock!
But of course we also listen to completely other genres like Blues and
Bluesrock, Alternative, Crossover and Indie-stuff. So we have a big
pool of influences to choose from.

5. Give us your opinion. Nice and easy listening song or song with
high techique or musical skill ? And how Unsharpen Dawn musics built ?

Kay: We do without too much technical fussing around concentrate on
catchyness without loosing our edge. Of course we do have some more
complicated riffs with a high demand to technical skill but that is
not common. In the end we don’t think high-level fret-stunts are
essential, the music just has to sound good. The bigger part of the
audience aren’t musicians so we don’t have to show off.

6. How about this, some band, including from Germany, internationally released their album with their original language (for an example Rammstein with Germany language, most of Japan band etc) What’s your opinion ?

Kay: English is a language which the bigger part of people understand
and is the language of metal. But we are not antipathetic towards
using german lyrics.

7. You’ve been endorsed by Pyramid, how did you get that ?

Kay: Skill and Contacts! (laughs). Let that be our bands little
secret, okay?

8. After Helloween and Rammstein era, of course from Germany music scene. Would you like to share a story about Germany music scene specially metal scene in this era to us ?

Chris: For a long time there was a big recession in the german band-
scene. The kids just rather want to fidget around on the dancefloor to
music from america with Hip-Hop and Electro-Beats, instead of picking
up an instrument and let themselves get blown away by a speaker
(grins). In the meantime there are a bunch of great bands again, in
all styles of music, which can hold up internationally. That raises
our hope again. Of course we try our best to be a good example in the
future.

9. Would you like to tell us your plan after releasing the EP ?

Kay: Touring, plaing shows and promote the EP. Then the songrwiting
for our first full length album will start.

Chris: We will definitely be seen on stage on a more regular base in
2010. We are hoping for a “big breakthrough” then (grins).

10. Message to the fans and blogreader ?

Kay: Thanks for your support and keep your chin up! See ya!

Chris: And please DO buy our EP and Merch!

All Material from me.  myself as Arie

Dengan tampilnya band ini bersama sama dengan Beneath The Sky(Victory), Belie My Burial, Bless This Curse, Bought In Blood, Burn False Idols, Call To Attraction, Casluhim dan beberapa band beraliran sama yang lain.

1. Hello to mousetrap Please tell us your biography. Because there is just a limited info about your band.

Well, were called Mouse Trap! because of the infamous board game that we all played when we were younger. We started out as an alt rock band that sounded like Puddle of Mudd mixed with System Of a Down. then i went to a Silverstein show. “A Day to Remember” and “The Devil Wears Prada” opened for them and i was stunned. i knew i had to play hardcore after that. weve gone through many names. 6 including mouse trap!.

weve been:
genocide
a moments notice
there’s a way
for the forgotten
to the forgotten
and finally… mouse trap!

but other than that, were just a couple of suburban kids that love creating heavy music.

2. What happen to your guitarist ? and what’s the effects to the band ?

were starting fresh with a newer, permanent lineup. im not giving away any details but lets just say its going to be intense well we try to keep a steady 3 day band practice week. with his baseball and other stuff, he couldnt find time. he’s leaving on good terms and he remains very close. The effects? well it gave me the idea to just do vocals and to find new musicians

3. How do you write your music ?

Thats a hard question hahaha. i guess i just turn on the amp and play until i find something i like. then i try to make a good song out of it

4. Your Lyrics. What is all about ?

This is going to sound so cliche… mainly women. you don’t even know how those preppy chicks make you think they like you and then drop the bomb hahah. i guess i have to thank them for the writing inspiration. sometimes though i do write happy lyrics. this is because i think bands like “for today” or “underoath” are visionary with their christian, pretty lyrics, and they manage to make it sound so br00t4l hahah.

5. I’ve seen some band with hardcore/metalcore/screamo, and they looks similar one to another. and now this genre becomes trend in the metal world. What do you think about this ?

i disagree. i think they are 2 totally different genres. its not a good or bad thing. its just 2 different scenes. if you go to a show with like “liferuiner”, “maesion”, and “remember thy name”, its going to be a lot different than a show with like “lamb of god”.
and honestly, i think some metal bands sell out to the hxc scene because its more popular right now and they want money.

6. And what makes this band different than the other hardcore/screamo band ?

our musical backround. were so young that were influenced by other hardcore/screamo/metalcore bands. were listening to that and were trying to take it to the next level. were not there yet but i plan to be.

7. Studio or the stage. Which one is the best for you ?

hands down stage. live shows are the greatest thing in the history of the world! when people hardcore dance or mosh to our music, its the best compliment we can receive. im not saying people listening to m.t! isnt, i just think its more personal since theyre at a show.

8. Becomes commercial band or becomes indie band. Which one you choose and give us a reason.

indie. indie labels wouldnt force you to like change your style because a certain one doesn’t pay as much. and i dont think anyone could get screwed with an indie label.

9. With your demo. What would you like to achieve with your music?

were trying to get our music out in the open with this demo. just to give people a taste of what we sound like. so we get like our first little fan base. later on this year were recording a full length thats going to be for real! that should boost the musicianship and the popularity.

10. How important is it to you to stay close to your fans?

the only rule in the rule book, and that is ELE. everybody love everybody(will ferrell quote) hahahaha. but seriously, if you dont love, interact, and update your fans, you get nowhere in the music biz.

11. What are the best and worst things about being in a band?

really hard question. i love playing shows for people. just the energy in general is amazing. all of it what i dont like? waking up at a certain time and having to be strict and organized hahah.

12. With your experience. How the technology helps the musician ?

myspace is the most revolutionary thing in music since recording. hahaha without it, many bands would never be heard

13. Message to the metal band fans around the world ?

moshers leave the hardcore dancers alone hahah. its more skilled, and hurts more hahah.

A Loathing Requiem adalah sebuah “One Man Project” band.

Please tell us how you started the “one man band” project?
Um, lets see. When I first come up with A LOATHING REQUIEM, I was trying to do something that wasn’t Melodic Death metal.
At the time it was just a fun way for me to get drunk and write brutal riffs.

Did you have a band before finally becoming one man band?
A LOATHING REQUIEM never had other members. Although, i still play in INFERI (Tribunal Records) from Nashville and I also play with DISKREET (Siege of Amida Records), from Topeka, Kansas.

Inside the band (group) and work alone in this project. Which one is the best for you? And what’s the main reason?
I love the freedom of working by myself. I’m an only child, so I think its natural for me to feel that way. At the same time, there is nothing better than having a few beers and jamming out with a band. That’s where true musical awesomeness comes from.

One man band. What is your recipe to start the project. Creativity and technology or something else?
Both. I think technology has helped me evolve as a musician. A LOATHING REQUIEM gives me a musical freedom I’ve never had before. So, I’m really stoked with being able to come up with anything I’d like to and run with it. Its very liberating for me.

Your songs, your lyrics, what’s inside them. I mean, What makes you write the song and what’s your lyrics about? What’s your process for writing your music?
Well that is a great question. Lyrically I sway between topics and content. I’m currently working on completing an record entitled “PREMONITIONS OF THE SOURCE” and I plan on focusing on things such as war and religion. But, I do have a few songs that will have some fantasy based lyrics. Basically I want to express myself on many platforms. The music is a different beast. When I write music, no matter what it may be, I want it to have texture. Sometimes I write it on paper before it gets recorded and sometimes I come up with a riff on accident, then write a song based on that. The ultimate goal for me is to have people go on a mental roller coaster ride, but not vomit because its too crazy and technical. I want to make music for metal heads… not just musicians.

From your information, you’ll be held on tour with some metal band. Is that any problem making performance in the stage. I need to ask this because you are the death metal one man band, I’ve ever know.
No. I have no problems between tours and any other projects I have going on. The only problems I’ve ever ran into, where with personal relationships. That is and always will be a struggle for serious musicians. There is no gold without sacrifice!

Your guitar playing is great. What is your musical background. Is that autodidact or with formal music education?
Thanks a lot! I actually have NEVER had any form of formal training. Everything I know about guitar and music is self taught and self gained knowledge. I plan on taking on some professional training someday. I think it would help my playing a lot.

From your list of the band or musician who influenced your music. There’s Muhammad Suicmez, Chuck Schuldiner, and Paul Gilbert. Which are your favorite tracks/song from that musician that really influenced you much?
That’s a tough fucking question, but off of the top of my head we have…
Necrophagist – Ignominious and Pale.
Some of the most genius riffs I’ve ever heard. PERIOD!

Death – Spirit Crusher.
For 1998… absolutely ahead of the times. A lot of metal bands would kill to have a composer like Chuck.

Paul Gilbert – The Curse of Castle Dragon
Its just flat out incredible!

If there’s a time for you, which song from your influence you’d like to cover?
There are so many songs I’d love to cover, but I have a huge fear covering songs. I don’t think I could replicate my favorite songs with the same original conviction that the original artist had when it was recorded. At that point, I’d rather keep trying to create than re-create.

Now the internet social networking service like myspace, friendster or facebook is growing up faster and faster. What does it mean to your musical progress and career? Does every musician have to join that social networking service?
Well, for me personally. Myspace in particular has helped me network with bands and musicians from all over the globe. At the same time I think the internet is bitter sweet when it comes to music. On one hand it gets your music out there, but on the other hand its saturated with so many bands (good and bad) trying to get their music out there, its hard for people to take you seriously. I think these days the Internet is necessary in order to deal with other competing bands. Like I said, ” bitter sweet”.

What’s your message to them who become “one man band” too, and all of death metal lover?
Well for anyone wanting to do a “one man band” I suggest listening to Mirrorthrone, Unholy Matrimony and Weeping Birth. All three are created by Vladimir Cochet. He is my hero when it comes down to one person creating and composing music without other peoples influence. And to death metal lovers… All I can say is, drink beers!
FUCKING HAILS!

Thanx to : j-magz
